Dear dancers... . . . If you are a member if the Oak Lodge class in West Wickham..please use the main front entrance to get into the BIG HALL for the next four Mondays, starting with the 30th July...the only Monday during the summer that we are NOT open is August Bank Holiday Monday........ . . . . Dear Dancers, Here is the latest news for your classes, socials and holidays! Mondays class is on as normal.....there may be one weeks closure in August, but at the moment it looks like we are staying open right through the school holidays! Southsea Trip Many thanks to everyone that is coming on the trip, I have received and banked all of your monies now, many thanks! not long to go! lets hope that Summer has arrived by August 14th! Wednesday class 11th July Andy will run the evening ably assisted by Helen, as a request night...Helen will be there on the dance floor to help you start the dances off and Andy will be on hand to play all of your requests and keep you amused with his jokes, that are just as bad as mine! lol dont have too much fun without me! Fridays class, Newell centre our new class times are working very well now! here is a little reminder of what they are 12.45 - 2.15 intermediates 3.50 2.15 - 3.45 beginners 3.50 you are an experienced beginner, please do feel free to come along from 2 p.m. and join in with the end of the previous class...... if you would like to stay all afternoon just pay an extra pound! dont forget free tea, coffee and biscuits are provided in each class! Bournemouth 2013 Many many thanks to everyone that has booked already for next years trip..we limit our numbers to ensure comfort on the dancefloor, and we have already sold three quarters of our places...all of the supplement free single rooms have been filled, but you can pay an extra £20 single supplement and have a bigger room! Please do ask me for a booking form in your classes as places sre filling up very very fast indeed! OUR NEXT SOCIAL IN WEST SUSSEX IS ON FRIDAY AUGUST 31ST AND THE THEME IS TEDDY BEARS PICNIC! sorry but our July social at the Newell is cancelled due to it clashing with the opening night of the Olympics! Alternative route from Bognor to Six Village - avoiding flooded Shripney Road..

Hi there!!

In case you are travelling from Bognor to come to my party tonight and don't know of an alternative route to get there, please read this:

 Go down A259 at the small roundabout before Bognor bridge roundabout turn right to Drayton go over level crossing then take next right follow til end of road then turn right follow til end you will be at junction with island restaurant (was labour in vain) turn left there then right into six villages!!

Dear Dancers,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend - albeit a slightly soggy one from what I can see out of the window!!

I have a few newsy bits for you all, so make a cuppa, and here we go!!

FOR ALL DANCERS IN ALL CLASSES!

I have FINALLY got around to putting the booking forms together for our Annual Club Weekend away to Bournemouth (hurrah I hear you cry!)....if you have an email address you will most likely have found said form in your inbox already......I will be bringing along booking forms to all classes from next week (as this week is party week!) (and Ive run out of paper!!) ...but if you would like to print out a booking form and bring it along to classes this week that would be fine too....! If you havent had a booking form by email and would like one, please drop me an email to julie@linedancingevents.com and I will send one across asap!

SUMMER BEANO news!!

If you have booked to come away with us on a midweek break this August to Southsea, please note that your balance will be due at the END of June...you can pay me by cheque, or by bank transfer - please ask for my details in class...or check the latest email as I have included details in there! Not long now!! It surely has to be summer by the time we get there eh!!

CLASS NEWS!

Oak Lodge Primary School - West Wickham, Kent....

Monday 11th June - is PARRRTTAAAY NIGHT in Oak Lodge!! doors open at 6.30 for our beginners - everyone else is welcome to join us from 7 p.m....please do bring along a plate of nibbles to share if you wish, and drinks for your own table!!

There is NO class next Monday 18th.....BUT we will be there on Tuesday 19th instead!! Class times as normal....

Six Villages Sports Centre - Westergate, Chichester, West Sussex....

Wednesday 13th June is PARRRTTAAAY NIGHT for you too!!! doors open at 7 for everyone! please do bring along a plate of nibbles to share if you wish...and drinks for your own tables!!

I will have tickets with me this week for the first of our SUMMER PARTIES in THE NEWELL CENTRE, Tozer Way Chichester if you would like to purchase one..or two..or three...maybe four!?

We have THREE Friday night parties in the summer if you are able to attend! Tickets are £5 each BYO drinks and nibbles...the dates are

FRIDAY JULY 27^TH – 7.30 – 11 – Dress Code – HAWAIIAN!!

FRIDAY AUGUST 25^TH – 7.30 – 11 – Theme – TEDDY BEARS PICNIC!! Bring along your fave teddy dressed to impress and he or she will enter a Beautiful Baby style competition – the most eye catching Teddy will win a fabby prize for its owner! J

Please note that there is NO class this coming Friday (15th June)

We return on Friday June 22nd with a slight change of class times....

I have given lots of thought as to how best to help our newest dancers and to start to overlap the two classes we have had running for a while and come up with the following......

Intermediates - 12.45 – 2.15 (90 minutes) £3.50

Beginners class  - 2.15 – 3.45 (90 minutes)

 (experienced beginners are welcome to come in at 2 p.m. and share some split floor dances if you have been in my classes for a while and know lots of the easier dances already!) 

Incorporating an Absolute Beginners Review section at the end from 3.15 to 3.45 £3.50

Or to stay all afternoon - £4.50!

AND DON’T FORGET THE FREE TEA/COFFEE AND BICCIES!

I hope this helps everyone! There is a slight price increase to help cover hall rental of 50p per person..thank you for your understanding :)

THE VIKING CLASS - Green Lawns Caravan Park, Selsey, West Sussex...

This Saturdays class (16th June) will be run by my very good friend Georgina, ably assisted by Nikki! I will be back the following week as usual!! Have fun with Georgie!!!

June in the Katz MLDC - Celebrations and Jubilations!

Hi peeps!!

Just a quickie about the next few weeks in the classes...

Next Monday there is sadly NO class in Oak Lodge - due to Queenie having a two day bank holiday

We are back the following week on Monday 11th June for our Party Night!! This is a double celebration for my 50th Birthday and also to celebrate 10 years of teaching! (you poor things haha)...if you can bring a plate to share that would be lovely.......!

The following week the class will be on Tuesday 19th June instead of Monday as I will be travelling on the Monday and may not make it in time, I thought it would be safer just to run the class on Tueday that week instead.

After that its back to Mondays as normal...!

Six Villages Class - Wednesdays

On Wednesday 13th June - I will be having a party night too!!! As I will be turning 50 that week - I thought it would be nice to have a bit of a knees up!! If you would like to bring along a plate to share that would be lovely.....!!

The Newell Centre Class - Fridays

There will be no class on Friday 15th June - we are back the following week as normal..sorry folks!

The Viking Class - Saturday 16th June - this class will be covered by my good friend Georgina Hefferman who will also be overseeing events in the evening whilst Andy whisks me away for the weekend to celebrate my special birthday .......Georgina will look after you all very well so enjoy the class and do let me know what she teaches you!

All other classes are on as normal...

Just a quick word about the Absolute beginner courses that are running.....

Tuesday 29th may is the last session in Six Villages sports centre - its upstairs in the drama studio from 7.15 - 8.15.....after this session you are more than welcome to join our main beginners class on Wednesday nights - downstairs in the dance studio from 6.45 to 8 p.m. (for beginners)....

I have extended Friday afternoons Absolute beginner sessions by two weeks....the dates are Friday 1st and Friday 8th June.....from 12.15 to 1.15..........

After this there will be some slight adjustments to all class times on Friday afternoons - watch this space for more info - I just need to finalise some details before confirming our new times.....thank you for your patience..

Bank Holiday Monday - May 7th and other info!

Hi there! please note that this week there will be no class at Oak Lodge on Monday May 7th, due to it being a bank holiday! but never fear, as I will be there on Tuesday 8th instead! Hope you can make it! If not I shall look forward to seeing you the following Monday as usual.... there is NO Absolute Beginners class on Tuesday 8th in Westergate. class is back on as normal on Tuesday 15th from 7.15 p.m.! Wednesdays class is on as normal. Fridays class is on as normal. Beginning at 12.15 with the Absolute beginners hour, followed by intermediates at 1.15' and experienced beginners at 2.30. I am selling tickets for our May Summer Party in The Regis School, Bognor Regis (see previous posts below for details) in all West Sussex classes this week. Miss it and miss out! Andy and I love to run party nights and cant wait try out our fabulous new venue! please do come and join us if you can! Ok thats sll for now peeps!
