All back to normal!! and a welcome to my new dancers!

Dear dancers,

We are very lucky to still have nice warm sunny days as we go out of September and into October, and I hope you are enjoying the sunshine as much as I am!

Firstly I would like to say a bit WELCOME TO THE CLUB to all of the new people who have recently joined my classes in both Kent and West Sussex - we hope you are enjoying the dancing and the smiles and that you will continue to come along for many years to come!

Halloween Party Night - Newell Centre - Chichester - 31st October - please email me for details.

November Viking Party Weekend - Friday 6th - Sunday 8th November - my classes over the weekend are on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10.45 a.m. - 1 p.m. they are predominately aimed at Improver to Advanced dancers, but our new dancers are welcome to come along at the beginning for a couple of dances aimed at them! We all had to start somewhere!

You will also find details on there of all of the other acts due to appear on Saturday nights at the club up until line dancing ends there this year on December 12th. (Linedancing at the viking will resume at the beginning of March 2016)

Katz Christmas Parties!!

the dates are:

Viking - Saturday 12th December

Oak Lodge - Monday 14th December

Newell Centre - Thursday evening 17th December

Newell Centre - Friday afternoon 18th December!!

All Christmas parties will have a christmas/sparkly dress code - there will be raffles and shared buffets in all parties (except the Viking party)....and lots of fun and laughter - guaranteed!

Places are now being filled for our Annual Katz Holiday to the Wessex Hotel in Bournemouth in February if you would like to join us - please don't leave it too late as once we are full, we are FULL!

Summer in the Katz Line Dance Club 2015

Hi everyone!! 

Week beginning July 27th 2015

This week is SUMMER PARTY WEEK!! smile emoticon Starting on Monday 27th July at Oak Lodge £6 each...(Note: we 'may' be using the bigger hall so if you don't see us in the usual place, please walk around to the front of the school and enter via the second set of double doors on your right)......The second one is Friday 31st July at the Newell Centre in chichester from 1 - 3.30 (all levels together!) £5 each, and the last one is for the Sussex Crew also at the Newell Centre on Saturday 1st August from 7.30 - 11 p.m.! £6 each!!! Please bring along a small plate of food to share with your group, and the dress code is FLOWERS!!! smile emoticon 

No need to purchase tickets for any party, just please do contact me if you are NOT a regular member of our parties so that I can reserve you a table!! Looking forward to this week very much!! Oh by the way, on Thursday night (30th July) there is a NORMAL class!! (not that my classes are every really 'normal' but you know what I mean!) see you soon my lovelies, and let's parrrrttaaaayyy!!!!

Looking for an Absolute Beginners class in and around Chichester?!

Hi everyone!!! If you would like to take up Line dancing there is a FREE absolute beginners class in the Viking Club on Green Lawns caravan park (Bunn Leisure) every Saturday during term time from 1 - 2 p.m. and locals are very welcome to attend!! You don't pay a single penny to join in - theres nothing to sign up to, just come along and join in!!! Line dancing has evolved into a brilliant pastime with something for everyone in terms of musical tastes - I teach dances to pop, latin, irish and country music too of course - the absolute dances are very easy to pick up and anyone from the ages of about 8 - 80 (plus) is welcome to come along and have a go. (children must be accompanied by an adult). The class is very friendly and welcoming and the viking club has a lovely atmosphere too. You can buy food over the bar as well as your drinks (please do not bring any drinks into the Viking as it's not allowed). And if you are already an experienced linedancer, then you are in luck - as from 2 - 4 p.m. I teach improver up to advanced level current and classic line dances!! our latest dances are Darling hold my hand, Alvaro, Heavenly Cha and many more....why not pop along this coming Saturday 6th June and try the class out? Also we have the famous Natalie Thurlow (line dance act of the year 2015) appearing in the evening for a whole night of linedancing - my husband Andy is the line dance DJ for the club, and will play all your favourite line dance requests all night long - it costs just £7.50 to come in to the club on a Saturday night and anyone is welcome!! Doors open at 6.30 p.m. and we dance the night away until 1 a.m.!!! Why not give it a go - you won't regret it - it's a brilliant venue to dance in! and right on YOUR doorstep if you live in or around Selsey or Chichester!!! :)

Latest News!

Hi everyone - classes are on as normal this week in the Newell Centre - in tonights intermediate class I will be teach Alvaro - which is quickly heading up to the top of the dance charts! It's week two of Heavenly Cha and Darling Hold my hand will be reviewed too - so if you are an intermediate linedancer looking for somewhere to go to learn the latest dances, but in a relaxed atmosphere, where you get a chance to learn each dance properly without any pressure, then look no further! (please see profile pic on page for details)...and if you are a beginner with some experience do come along to the 6.30 class tonight and learn some classics so you can go out social dancing with your friends as soon as possible!

If you like a more relaxed class then Friday afternoon is the class for you - we start with an intermediate class - followed by improvers - followed by beginners - the beginners class is suitable for everyone, even if you have no experience at all - just come along at 2.45 and I'll get you up dancing in no time! smile emoticon

and finally.....Just a quick reminder that there is sadly no line dance tuition or social line dancing at the Viking this coming Saturday (May 30th) - but if you would like to get your fix of dancing you are more than welcome to join Andy and I at Felpham Community College on Saturday night as we have Douglas & Crooks appearing - tickets are £9.50 each - it's a beautiful huge venue with a lovely floor and you can bring your own refreshments! Doors open 7.30 and we party on till 11.30 p.m. DJ Andy will be there to play all of your requests inbetween sets and we operate split floors to keep as many of you up dancing alllll night long! All classes back to normal!

Hi everyone!

Just popping in to remind you that all classes are back on as normal now!

My Thursday, Saturday and Monday classes are modern and include a mix of music from all genres!

My Friday afternoon class is my 'simply line dance' class, and is a more traditional style of class, using 99 percent country music!! If you prefer country music, then THIS is your class.!!

Having said that I also teach to country music across ALL of my classes, enabling all of my dancers to go out social dancing with ease!

Don't forget that this coming Friday evening at Oak Lodge in West Wickham And and I are throwing you a SPRING PARTY - doors open 7.30....£6 each! BYO drinks etc, there will also be a great prize raffle! if you would like to come please drop me an email to julieandthekatz@msn.com

And so as not to leave the Sussex Crew out of the fun, on SATURDAY night in Felpham Community College we have another SPRING PARTY - doors open 7.15 (dancing starts 7.30) £6 each, BYO drinks etc, this party will include an EASTER BONNET competition with a great prize for the best one! Easter in the Katz classes!

Hi everyone!

This Saturday we have a live music evening with Bob Keeley in Felpham community college in Bognor Regis, there are still some tickets available if you want to join the fun!  Just email us at julieandthekatz@msn.com to reserve a table for yourself and your friends! ☺ tickets are £8 in advance or £9 on the night!

Classes are on this week on Thursday and Friday as usual, and I will be teaching some new dances from last weekends Viking party!

There are no classes or social evenings on at the viking from now until April 18th.

However we are having a Spring party in Felpham on Saturday April 11th complete with Easter Bonnet competition!! ☺ with prizes for the best ones! ☺

There are NO classes on the following dates in April over Easter

Thursday 2nd
Friday 3rd
Monday 6th

And for our Oak lodge dancers in West Wickham we are throwing a party night on Friday 10th April!!  Please do let me know if you would like to come so that I can reserve you a table.  Tickets are £6 each and Andy will be your dj for the night!  Come and join us for a great night out! ☺

Quick update on our summer holiday to Bournemouth in August.  We have three rooms left in our current allocation.  And we would love those rooms to be filled too!  More and more people are booking to join us ffor this three night midweek break, so why not come and join us too!?  We would love to have you along!

p.s. for those of you who don't know,  I have had to cancel our original summer holiday to the TLH in Torquay due to the dates being wrong for the majority of people interested. and instead I have organised a THREE NIGHT BREAK to the lovely Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth - the dates are Tuesday 25th to Friday 28th August 2015 and we are so lucky to still have Richard Palmer and Warren Conway appearing for us!! The holiday costs just £239 per person - three nights dinner bed and breakfast AND is inclusive of RETURN COACH TRAVEL! All back to normal!!

Hi everyone!!

Just a little reminder that all classes are back to normal now (apart form the Viking class which reopens on march 7th!)

We had a wonderful weekend away with dancers from all of our classes and are thrilled to announce that we have already rebooked to return to the Wessex in Bournemouth next year! hurray! The dates for your diary are 12 - 14 February 2016!

But don't forget if you cant wait that long that we have a FOUR NIGHT HOLIDAY coming up in July this year to Torquay!! If you would like details please send me an email to julie@linedancingevents.com and I'll send the details over!
