Dear dancers,

Most of you will have received emails about whats happening in your regular classes over the next few weeks, but here is a brief run down for anyone not on my mailing list!

MONDAYS CLASS - OAK LODGE

Christmas party - Monday 15th December - 6.30 - 9.45 - No need to bring nibbles!! I'll do that!

Oak lodge reopens on January 5th - usual times!

THURSDAYS CLASS - NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER

11th December - Normal class
18th December - CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHT!! 6.30 - 10 p.m. £5 each - please bring a small plate of nibbles to share - the list will be on the door in tonights class :)

Thursdays class returns on January 8th....class times as normal !

FRIDAYS CLASS - NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER

12th December - Normal class
19th December - CHRISTMAS PARTY AFTERNOON!! 1 - 3.30 p.m. - all levels together - please bring a small plate of nibbles to share - the list will be on the door in tomorrows class :)

SATURDAY AFTERNOON CLASS - THE VIKING CLUB - SELSEY

13th December - normal class - run by Lesley P
20th December - CHRISTMASSY CLASS!! with pressies for all regular dancers!

The Viking class will reopen on March 7th 2015. Usual times!

FABULOUS FRIDAYS IN FELPHAM!!!

Our Party nights in Felpham Community College start with our NEW YEARS PARTY ON JANUARY 2ND!!
Tickets are £7 on the door - or £6 in advance! BYO Drinks and nibbles!
times: 7.30 - 11.30 p.m.! with DJ Andy playing all of your requests and Julie helping you out on the dancefloor!

November News!!

Hi everyone!

Just popping in to remind all of our Sussex dancers that unfortunately I have decided to close down the Tuesday morning beginner class at the Newell centre for the time being. The class doesn't fit in very well with my late night class on a Monday and has proven just a little bit too ambitious - energy wise!

My apologies to all the lovely people that came along to try out the class, I have emailed you all personally and hope that you will be able to transfer to one of my other beginner classes. All details are on www.thekatz.co.uk.

In other news...

THIS COMING WEEKEND AT THE VIKING!!

This coming weekend at the Viking we have a special party going on - it starts on Friday evening and carries on until the early hours of Monday! Therefore there will be no regular line dance lesson on saturday afternoon - instead the lessons will be on Saturday and Sunday mornings for experienced line dancers and will run from 11 - 1 p.m.

Regular line dancers are allowed into the classes free of charge, but if you want to stay on for the social dancing that follows during the afternoon - there is a charge of £10 each. For more details on this special November party weekend -please go to www.theviking.co.uk.

I have a number of party nights coming up for the Sussex crew too - look out for tickets and information in your classes - or on facebook...!

FABULOUS FRIDAYS IN FELPHAM ARE ON THEIR WAY! 2015!

Andy and I are so excited to be able to announce our new venture to you all!! Launching in the New Year is the start of something wonderful for all line dancers in Sussex and beyond.....FABULOUS FRIDAYS are beginning at our new venue in Felpham (Close to Butlins in Bognor Regis) it has a fantastic large dancefloor - an enormous FREE car park - and the opportunity for YOU to dance for four hours back to back without interruption!! 

Playing all your favourite dances alllll night long in a terrific venue, we will provide the best in modern sound and lighting, creating a great atmosphere at each and every party!! 

We are a mainstream Line dance club and that means we play music from ALL genres - to all styles of dance - for all ages - largely following the popular UK line dance charts! we strive to build a happy and welcoming atmosphere, and just love the dancers we know already as they understand us perfectly!

IT''S SEPTEMBER - TIME TO GET BACK TO SCHOOL!

Just popping in to say that I hope you are all looking forward to getting back on the dance floor after your Summer Holidays...

All classes are on as normal this week

MONDAY - OAK LODGE - WEST WICKHAM (times have changed slightly 6.30 - 8 p.m. is Improver level - and 8 - 9.45 p.m. Intermediate. BUT the class is still going to be as much fun as always....! See you there!

TUESDAY - THE NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER - This BRAND NEW CLASS is for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS and runs from 9.30 - 11 a.m.!!

THURSDAY - THE NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER - Class times as normal!
We start at 6.30 p.m. with an hours beginner lesson - then move on to Improver and Intermediate classes until 10 p.m.!

FRIDAY - THE NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER - Class times have changed to:

12.45 - 2.15 p.m. INTERMEDIATE
1.45 - 3 p.m. IMPROVER
2.45 - 4 p.m. BEGINNERS

SATURDAY - THE VIKING MUSIC AND DANCE CLUB - SELSEY - Class times as Normal

1 - 2 p.m. Beginners

August and September in The Katz Modern Line Dance Club!

I hope you are all enjoying the summer!  Here is a little update of your classes and when and 'if' there are any closures...please scroll down to your relevant day.

MONDAY EVENINGS - OAK LODGE - WEST WICKHAM

There is NO class on Monday 11th August, we are in on August 18th and TUESDAY August 26th. Then back to normal on Mondays in September! Please note that we are currently not taking on absolute beginners as the class is aimed at improver and intermediate levels. TUESDAY MORNINGS - NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER 9.15 - 10.45 a.m.!! £3.50 each includes free tea/coffee/biscuits...

Starting on SEPTEMBER 2ND 2014 this brand new class is aimed at the ABSOLUTE BEGINNER - no experience necessary - no partner needed - no need to book!! Just come along and join in!! All routines are simple, and to lovely music, mainly country...perfect for those looking for a sociable pastime with likeminded people. FRIDAY AFTERNOONS - NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER

We are open today (8th August) as normal.

There is NO class on Friday 16th August - but reopen as normal the week after and continue into September with our NEW CLASS TIMES (note: all classes are designed to overlap - each class is £3.50 or pay an extra £1 to stay on until the next one :)

From Friday 5th September our class times will be:

12.45 P.M. EASY INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
1.45 P.M. IMPROVER LEVEL
2.45 P.M. ABSOLUTE BEGINNER LEVEL (this class welcomes brand new dancers who have never danced before - please just come along wearing sensible low heeled supportive footwear) There is no need to book - every class is pay on the door, come as you go! Feel free to tell your friends and bring them along too - all dances taught in this particular class are gentle and to simple routines!

SATURDAY AFTERNOONS - THE VIKING CLUB - GREEN LAWNS (BUNN LEISURE) - SELSEY

All classes are on as normal - there are no closures.

Times: Beginners 1 - 2. Improvers/Intermediate 2 - 3. Intermediate/Advanced 3 - 4.

This is a free class provided generously by Bunn Leisure for the owners and holidaymakers, but welcomes local dancers in for free too - all we ask is that you refrain from bringing in your own drinks and buy at least one drink from across the bar, to show your appreciation for the free class. Many thanks!

Hi everyone,

Once again my apologies for cancellations of last weeks classes.

All classes are on as normal for the next three days.!!

Please note however that there are NO classes on Thursday and Friday NEXT week...17th and 18th July.

Classes go back to normal the week after.

The Viking class is always on lol - it never closes - so if you can't get your fix of dancing on a Thursday or Friday feel free to pop along to the viking from 1 - 4 for a FREE class. Beginners from 1 - 2.

In tonights class at the Newell centre I will be conituing with teaches of all recent dances taught at the last Viking party......!!

Oak lodge news! !

Hi everyone!

  In tomorrow's class at oak lodge I will be teaching SUCH A FOOL to the 6.30 class.....beginner level but not too basic! ;)..Just ADD MOONLIGHT to the 7.30 class and LAUGHTER IN THE RAIN. ....after 8.30...... all are great dances so I really hope you can make it!


Then on Sunday it's our annual summer parrrtttaayyy! see poster for details!


Please could you write down what you would like to bring for the buffet if possible?  :)


or if you can't make it send me an email towards the end of the week and I'll come up with a suggestion!  Also please note that the Sunday social is a little more than usual as we have the hall for longer than usual and it's a a weekend rate so costs need to be covered.  I know how good you all are and that you will understand.  It's £7 each on the door.


If you have any line dance friends who might like to join us please feel free to send them the attached poster.


I also need to let you know that Andy and I have decided to take two Mondays off. So there will be no classes on the 14th or 21st July. Sorry but we do need a little rest every now and then!  ;)

July & August in the Katz Line Dance Club!

Hi everyone!!

Summer is most definately upon us and with it comes nice sunny evenings - doors open - cool drinks in hand and lots of smiles and laughter in the classes :)

WHOLE CLUB NEWS: Many thanks to everyone for paying their balance for Torquay - I will be sending out travel information a little nearer the time!  :) not long now!! wahhooo!!!

Let's begin with Mondays at Oak Lodge School - West Wickham

During July there will be a SUNDAY SPECIAL on the afternoon of Sunday July 13th at Oak Lodge for our lovely dancers and their experienced dancing friends who may like to come along too!

Doors will open at 2.30 with an hours Review Workshop - No new dances as promised!! Just walkthroughs of any dances you would like reminders of before the party begins at 3.30!! We then party on with a summery feel until 6 p.m.!!

I will be providing some cool refreshing summery drinks, and there will be a 'share a plate' buffet (please write down what you would like to bring on the list by the door closer to the time)...

There will also be a PRIZE RAFFLE (no donations this time thank you) and the return of THE PIGGY POT - WINNER TAKES ALL! draw....

It's going to be a lot of fun - so please do try your best to come along and join in the fun fun fun!

There will be NO CLASS ON MONDAY 14TH JULY or JULY 21ST

All other Mondays in July will run as per usual!

Classes are on as normal throughout August with the exception of Monday 11th.

THURSDAY NIGHTS AT THE NEWELL CENTRE - CHICHESTER
